Kayden Behan

Kayden is an award winning classical guitarist who’s been reviewed several times by Classical Guitar Magazine for his performances in competitions.


He has trained at the Community Music School of Springfield and the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford, Connecticut and has worked with internationally acclaimed artists Celso Mechado, Andrew Zohn, Anthony Glise, Renaldo Guadalupe, The Newman-Oltman Duo, David Madsen, and Sharon Wayne as well as many other guitar masters.


At 5 years old, he was invited to be the opening performer at the

Spring Chamber Concert at his local High School and preforms

regularly in School & Music School concerts, various local

retirement homes, fundraisers and National and International competitions.


At 6 he was asked to be the opening performer at the 6th Annual Guitar Extravaganza at Yale University by Ben Verdery and gave a

“jaw dropping” performance according to

Classical Guitar Magazine.


In 2009, Kayden traveled to Nesebar Bulgaria to compete in the International Children’s Festival along with 2500 other children from 15 different countries. Kayden won 1st place Master & Artistic Guitar Performance all ages and was given a special Honor Award for Best Overall Instrumental Performance for children 6 to 12.


In 2010, Kayden received an Honorable mention at the Guitare Montreal International Festival & Competition, and in 2011 won 2nd place 18 and under. He was awarded the 2010 Young Artist Award at the St. Josephs International Guitar Festival & Competition, and was a top 10 finalist in the Wonder World Entertainment Ribby Awards.


Most recetly he has been performing in a Trio from the CommunityMusic School of Springfield that appeared with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra in their God Bless America concert in September.


Kayden also takes Electric Guitar, Hip Hop dance and Theatre lessons.


When he’s not playing music or dancing, he’s busy being a typical 10 year old boy, loves Legos, Angry Birds and carnivorous plants.
